Two BN-embedded p-quinodimethane derivatives were synthesized by a reaction of bis­(trimethylsilyl)-1,4-dihydropyrazines, which are known as inorganic-salt-free reductants, with 9-chloro-9-borafluorene. The planar or bent structures of the resulting π-conjugated compounds were revealed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Their photophysical properties relate to their planar or bent structures due to the difference in the distribution of the HOMO.

两种BN嵌入型对苯二醌二甲烷(p-quinodimethane)衍生物经双(三甲基硅基)-1,4-二氢吡嗪(一类被称为无无机盐还原剂的物质)与9-氯-9-硼芴的反应合成。通过X射线衍射分析,明确了所得π共轭化合物的平面或弯曲结构。由于最高占据分子轨道(HOMO, Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital)的分布存在差异,其光物理性质与其平面或弯曲结构密切相关。
