The hydrolytic activity of the ATP synthase in bovine mitochondria is inhibited by a protein called IF1, but bovine IF1 has no effect on the synthetic activity of the bovine enzyme in mitochondrial vesicles in the presence of a proton motive force. As part of an investigation into the inhibitory effects on the hydrolytic and synthetic activities of ATP synthase in bovine sub-mitochondrial particles, the absolute quantities of both the ATP synthase complex and the IF1 protein have been measured.

牛线粒体中的ATP合酶(ATP synthase)水解活性可被一种名为IF1的蛋白质抑制。但在质子动力势(proton motive force)存在的情况下,牛源IF1对线粒体囊泡中该牛源ATP合酶的合成活性无影响。作为对牛亚线粒体颗粒中ATP合酶水解与合成活性抑制效应开展研究的一部分,本研究已完成ATP合酶复合物与IF1蛋白的绝对定量测定。
