Ludwigia hexapetala Genome sequencing

Ludwigia grandiflora subsp. hexapetala (Lgh) is an important invasive plants worldwide. G The aim of the study was to assemble and annotate Lgh genome. The lack of data from close species (4 in Onagraceae family) and the decaploidy of Lgh made the assembly difficult. These difficulties also show the relevance of this assembly with only the fifth genome in the Onagraceae family. Lgh genome will serve in further transcriptomic analysis.

大花丁香蓼六倍亚种（Ludwigia grandiflora subsp. hexapetala，以下简称Lgh）是一种全球范围内具有重要影响的入侵植物。本研究的核心目标为组装并注释Lgh的全基因组。由于该物种近缘类群的基因组数据匮乏（柳叶菜科Onagraceae中仅4个物种存在公开基因组数据），加之Lgh本身为十倍体，导致其基因组组装难度极大。上述挑战也进一步凸显了本组装工作的重要意义——这是柳叶菜科领域第五个公开发布的基因组组装结果。Lgh的全基因组数据将为后续转录组学分析提供关键的研究基础。
