Sequencing Rickettsiales Genomes. Orientia tsutsugamushi str. TH1817

This project is focused on improving our understanding of vector borne diseases caused by bacteria in the order Rickettsiales by obtaining further diverse genomes from the Anaplasma, Ehrlichia, Orientia, Rickettsia, and Neoehrlichia genera. The analysis is expected to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of host tropism, immune response, and pathogenicity/virulence as reflected in the isolates selected for sequencing.

本项目旨在通过获取无形体属（Anaplasma）、埃里希体属（Ehrlichia）、东方体属（Orientia）、立克次体属（Rickettsia）及新埃里希体属（Neoehrlichia）的更多样化基因组，加深我们对立克次体目（Rickettsiales）细菌引发的虫媒传染病的认知。预期通过后续分析，阐明所选测序分离株所体现的宿主嗜性、免疫应答以及致病性与毒力的分子机制。
