This dataset contains aligned MERS-CoV Spike S1 subunit sequences from <b>272 human</b> and <b>391 camel</b> isolates, along with comprehensive nucleotide-level analyses of codons corresponding to <b>primary hydrogen-bonding (Y499, D510, E513)</b> and <b>salt-bridge (E536, D537, D539, R542)</b> residues critical for DPP4 binding. Includes raw alignments (.aln), reference sequence, variant frequency tables, and Fisher’s exact test results with FDR correction. This resource enables investigation of host-driven adaptation in zoonotic coronaviruses.<br>
