The United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA), Rural Development (RD) Agency operates a broad range of programs that were formally administered by the Farmers Home Administration to support affordable housing and community development in rural areas. RD helps rural communities and individuals by providing loans and grants for housing and community facilities.
