We aimed to access the gut bacterial changes associated with alterations in the bile acid (BA) metabolism in infantile cholestatic jaundice (CJ). We performed 16S rRNA gene analysis of fecal microbiota profiles from 126 infants including 45 healthy subjects (HC), 25 with impaired hepatic function (IHF), and 56 CJ cases, to determine the gut microbiome changes, and access their associations with fecal levels of 43 primary and secondary BAs and their conjugated forms and seven serological indexes of hepatic function.

本研究旨在探究婴儿胆汁淤积性黄疸(infantile cholestatic jaundice, CJ)患者肠道菌群变化与胆汁酸(bile acid, BA)代谢异常的关联。我们对126名婴儿的粪便微生物群谱开展16S rRNA基因分析,其中包含45名健康受试者(healthy subjects, HC)、25名肝功能受损者(impaired hepatic function, IHF)以及56例CJ患者,以明确肠道微生物组的变化特征,并分析其与粪便中43种初级、次级胆汁酸及其结合形式的水平,以及7项肝功能血清学指标的相关性。
