本数据集包含基于国际海洋-大气数据集（ICOADS）R3.0版本与印度气象局（Indian Meteorological department）的船舶观测资料生成的年气候态、月气候态及逐年月汇总数据。本次提供的数据文件对应海平面气压的月气候态与逐年月汇总数据。其空间覆盖范围为：南纬30.5°至北纬30.5°，东经20.5°至东经120.5°；时间覆盖范围为1965年至2017年。
