Patricia Bay Conductivity Temperature Depth Deployed 2011-07-01

The Sea-Bird SeaCAT SBE16plus 4996 was deployed on 2011-07-01 at Patricia Bay. Patricia Bay is located in the Saanich Inlet, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. This device is a Conductivity Temperature Depth. Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD) is an instrument package that contains sensors for measuring the conductivity, temperature, and pressure of seawater. Salinity, sound velocity, depth and density are variables that can be derived from sensor measurements. CTDs can carry additional instruments and sensors such as oxygen sensors, turbidity sensors and fluorometers. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.

海鸟（Sea-Bird）SeaCAT SBE16plus 4996型观测设备于2011年7月1日在帕特里夏湾（Patricia Bay）完成布放。帕特里夏湾地处温哥华岛南端的萨尼奇湾（Saanich Inlet）内。该设备为温盐深测量仪（Conductivity Temperature Depth，简称CTD），是集成海水电导率、温度与压力传感器的一体化观测装置。通过其传感器的原始测量数据，可反演得到盐度、声速、水深与海水密度等衍生参数。温盐深测量仪可搭载额外的观测仪器与传感器，例如溶解氧传感器、浊度传感器与荧光计。本次布放依托固定式观测平台完成，所获取的观测数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 3.0数字基础设施对外共享；数据质量管控与衍生数据产品的生成均遵循行业既定规范。
