Conchological Society of Great Britain & Ireland: non-marine molluscs (Channel Islands)

The records in this dataset are the results of the Conchological Societies non-marine census which has been run since 1876. The dataset includes all digital records held by the Society up to the time of publication. The dataset is an amalgam of the cards that were originally digitised at 10km square as part of the publication of the non-marine mollusc atlas as well as a redigitisation of those records at finer scales and a substantial number of more recent records. All the survey data were collected by members of the Conchological Society. Recording is still continuing although no publications are expected at present. Some older Channel Islands records have been gleaned from various papers.

本数据集收录的记录源自软体动物学会（Conchological Society）自1876年起开展的非海洋软体动物普查项目成果。本数据集涵盖该学会截至发布时留存的全部数字化记录，由三类内容整合而成：其一为最初以10公里见方为单元完成数字化、用于非海洋软体动物分布图集出版的普查卡片记录；其二为以更精细空间尺度对上述记录重新数字化的成果；其三为数量可观的新增近期普查记录。所有普查数据均由该学会会员采集完成。当前普查记录工作仍在持续推进，但暂无新的发布计划。部分海峡群岛的早期普查记录均从各类学术文献中搜集整理而来。
