Enrichment of Nitrospira from acidic soil. soil metagenome

This study aims to enrich nitrifiers classified in genus Nitrospira and investigate the physiological properties. Nitrospira is known as the most dominant nitrifier in some acidic soils. However, cultivated samples to study the physiological characteristics of Nitrospira have not been obtained from soils yet. Therefore, in this study, Nitrospira was enriched by continuous feeding incubation system and the phylogeny was analyzed by amplicon sequencing.

本研究旨在对归类于硝化螺菌属（Nitrospira）的硝化细菌进行富集培养，并探究其生理特性。已知硝化螺菌属是部分酸性土壤中占绝对优势的硝化细菌类群，但目前尚未从土壤中分离得到可用于研究该属细菌生理特征的可培养样本。因此，本研究采用连续补料培养体系完成硝化螺菌属的富集培养，并通过扩增子测序（amplicon sequencing）分析其系统发育关系。
