Yearly climate summaries for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's
Physical Monitoring Program Parque Natural Metropolitano (PNM) Crane Station.
Established in 1995, the PNM canopy crane (8.994410°, - 79.543000°) is located
at the North Western edge of Panama City, at the eastern edge of the Parque
Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Nature Park) and is surrounded by 80-year
old, lowland semi-deciduous forest. The crane is 42 meters tall with a radius
of 51 meters.

In 2021 the original crane was dismantled and replaced with a new, 68m crane
in Jan. 2022. The temperature and humidity were moved to the top of the crane.
An anemometer was mounted near just below the crane boom.

本数据集为史密森尼热带研究所（Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute）物理监测项目大都会自然公园（Parque Natural Metropolitano，简称PNM）起重机观测站的年度气候汇总数据。该PNM林冠起重机始建于1995年，地理坐标为8.994410°N，79.543000°W，坐落于巴拿马城西北边缘、大都会自然公园（Metropolitan Nature Park）东侧区域，周边环绕着80年生低地半落叶林。该起重机总高42米，作业半径达51米。

2021年，原有起重机被拆除，并于2022年1月更换为全新的68米高起重机。原温湿度监测设备被迁移至新起重机顶部，一台风速仪安装于起重机吊臂正下方附近位置。
