Stream Microbial Mat Biomass (Chlorophyl-A and Ash free dry mass)

As part of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, a systematic sampling program has been undertaken to monitor the glacial meltwater streams in that region. This table contains microbial biomass concentrations found at specific locations in McMurdo Dry Valley streams and mats. Microbial mat biomass has been collected as part of the McMurdo LTER since the 1993-1994 field season and measured as Ash-free dry mass (AFDM) and chlorophyll-a (Chl-a).

作为南极洲麦克默多干谷长效生态研究（Long Term Ecological Research, LTER）计划的组成部分，本项目已开展系统性采样工作以监测该区域的冰川融水溪流。本表格收录了麦克默多干谷溪流与微生物垫（microbial mat）特定点位的微生物生物量浓度数据。自1993-1994年野外监测季起，作为麦克默多LTER项目的一部分，研究人员已采集微生物垫生物量样本，并通过无灰干重（Ash-free dry mass, AFDM）与叶绿素a（chlorophyll-a, Chl-a）两项指标完成测定。
