Canadian Gallup Poll, October 1985, #502-1

This Gallup poll seeks the opinions of Canadians, on predominantly political issues. The questions ask opinions about political leaders and political issues within the country. There are also questions on other topics of interest and importance to the country and government, such as the importance of nuclear power and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.). The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographic and social variables. Topics of interest include: attending church; the best policy to deal with nuclear generation; decreasing respect for the United Nations; hearing about cardio pulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.); the importance of nuclear power plants; imposing economic sanctions on Iran; increasing respect for the United Nations; involving the U.N. in hostage situations; learning cardio pulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.); the Liberal government's record since last election; opinions about Broadband as NDP leader; opinions about Clark as leader of the Conservative party; profiting from inflation; respect for the United Nations; and the satisfaction with Trudeau as Prime Minister. Basic demographic variables are also included.
