SATS : Sydney area transportation study : volume 3 : passenger transport systems

The major objective of SATS is to determine the transportation needs of the Sydney region through to the year 2000, propose a series of alternatives to meet those needs, evaluate the costs and benefits of each and recommend transportation systems which will effectively serve the Sydney region. The recommended systems must be operational and effective, financially feasible and environmentally sensitive and compatible with the ultimate development of the region.

SATS的核心目标是研判悉尼地区直至2000年的交通需求，提出一系列适配该需求的备选方案，对各方案的成本与收益进行评估，并推荐可有效服务悉尼地区的交通系统。所推荐的交通系统需具备可操作性与实效性，财务上可行，兼顾环境敏感性，并与该区域的长远发展规划相契合。
