Genome sequencing of a phylogenetically and ecologically diverse suite of saprotrophic Agaricomycotina (Basidiomycota), which include the major concentration of wood decay Fungi. Analyses of these genomes will provide insight into the diversity of fungal biology, especially mechanisms for decay of lignocellulose, and will illuminate the evolution and ecology of wood decay communities and their processes for carbon cycling and sequestration.

对一类系统发育与生态均具多样性的腐生伞菌亚门（Agaricomycotina，担子菌门Basidiomycota）真菌开展基因组测序，该类群涵盖了木材腐朽真菌的主要类群。对这些基因组的解析将为揭示真菌生物学的多样性提供新认知，尤其是木质纤维素降解的相关机制，同时还可阐明木材腐朽群落的演化与生态特征，以及其碳循环与碳封存过程。
