IDEAS-3: NSF/NCAR C-130 Aerosol Cloud Particle Imager (CPI) Data. Version 1.0

The Cloud Particle Imager captures high-resolution images (pixel size 2.3 microns) using a CCD camera. The CPI has two Particle Detector Sensor lasers that instruct the camera to capture an image. This dataset contains binary image files of cloud particles which can be viewed using the IDL software linked to below. The data were collected during the Instrument Development and Education in Airborne Science Phase 3 (IDEAS-3) project which took place from 15 August 2003 to 22 September 2003.

云粒子成像仪（Cloud Particle Imager）采用电荷耦合器件（CCD）相机采集高分辨率图像，图像像素尺寸为2.3微米。该设备（以下简称CPI）配备两台粒子探测器传感器激光器，用于触发相机完成图像采集。本数据集包含云粒子的二进制图像文件，可通过下文链接提供的IDL软件进行查看。本次数据采集工作依托机载科学仪器研发与教育第三阶段（IDEAS-3）项目开展，采集时段为2003年8月15日至2003年9月22日。
