Beer can fillings in Norway and Finland 2011-2015

This statistic shows the beer can fillings in Norway and Finland from 2011 to 2015, as combined figures. The amount of cans filled with beer increased over this five year period. In 2015, approximately 1.7 billion cans of beer were filled.Cans were, with a share of about 80 percent, the beer packaging that was sold most in 2015. All cans in Norway and Finland include a deposit. In most supermarkets, special return machines are placed to get back the refund. Both, Norway, as well as Finland do have a strict alcohol policy. Alcoholic beverages up to an alcohol volume of 4.75 percent can only be purchased at the government-owned monopolies of alcohol retail, called Vinmonopolet in Norway and Alko in Finland.
