As of July 2011, this dataset is intended for archival purposes only and represents an incomplete version of New York State Aquifers. No further updates will be issued. It is recommended users refer to NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation Unconsolidated Aquifers at 1:250,000 for more current and complete coverage. The data set consists of aquifer polygons or regions depicting unconsolidated aquifers in New York State, excluding Long Island.
