Meta-transcriptomic comparison of two sponge holobionts feeding on coral- and macroalgal-dissolved organic matter

The aim of this study was to look at the differential gene expression in the sponge host and in the sponge-associated bacteria exposed to coral and macroalgal DOM in order to see if there is a link between the metabolic pathways expressed and the previously observed differences in coral versus macroalgal DOM processing rates.

本研究旨在探究暴露于珊瑚与大型藻类来源溶解有机物（Dissolved Organic Matter，DOM）的海绵宿主及其共生细菌的差异基因表达情况，以明确已表达的代谢通路与此前观测到的珊瑚、大型藻类来源DOM处理速率差异之间是否存在关联。
