Tableland areas inventory across the Chinese Loess Plateau (2018)

A high-quality inventory of tableland areas (2018) across the Loess Plateau was provided. 

To generate this plateau-scale inventory, an object-based approach for large-scale tableland areas mapping was proposed by integrating Sentinel-2 imagery and AW3D30 DEM topographic information. The automatic mapping approach behaves in a good performance, with the overall accuracies over 90% in all the four investigated subregions. After the strict quality control by manual inspection, the final product was generated, demonstrating that the tableland areas occupied 9507.31 km2 across the Loess Plateau.

本数据集提供了黄土高原2018年高质量黄土塬区域清查清单。
为生成该高原尺度的清查成果，本研究提出了一种融合哨兵二号（Sentinel-2）影像与AW3D30数字高程模型（AW3D30 DEM）地形信息的面向对象制图方法，以实现大规模黄土塬区域的自动制图。该自动制图方法性能优异，在全部四个研究子区域的总体精度均超过90%。经人工目视解译开展严格质量管控后，最终成果正式生成，结果显示黄土高原全域黄土塬总面积达9507.31平方千米。
