Results of surveys for buckwheat (Eriogonum) and Smithâ s blue butterfly (Euphilotes enoptes smithi). Observations of the related Tildenâ s blue (E. e. tildeni). Data for transects used to estimate relative abundance of Smithâ s blue. Vegetation, area, slope, aspect, elevation, soils/rocks for locations where buckwheat or Smithâ s blue was found. Estimated numbers of buckwheat of all three species at each location, with dates of flowering. Results of surveys for Smithâ s blue and Tildenâ s blue. Smithâ s blue data from transects sorted by sex and behavior. Indices of relative abundance for each transect.
