<b>Creating Scores with The Record Player Orchestra</b>7th April 2025In these two interconnected and concurrent workshops, participants had the opportunity to create both audio and visual scores, with recordings and visual works as the outcomes.The Record Player Orchestra, led by Roger Clarke, invited participants to explore the sounds on specially created vinyl records and combine these to create short improvisations. In Creating Scores, facilitated by James Scott Brooks, participants transformed the audio recordings of these short improvisations into visual scores using the provided materials.Once completed, the visual scores were then tested by participants returning to the Record Player Orchestra and using them to create new recordings.<b><i>doing together 25</i></b><i>doing together</i> is a yearly two-day making and sharing practice symposium at Locksbrook Campus, hosted by the Art Research Centre (Bath School of Art, Film and Media) in collaboration with Bath School of Design and the Centre of Cultural and Creative Industries.<i>doing together </i>is a platform to connect staff, students, and the community through making, collaboration and experimentation.Workshops, delivered by staff and PGR students from across the University, share practice-based research methods and a broad range of approaches to practice. <i>doing together</i> is proposed as a generous space to make/do/share and discuss practice with colleagues from a range of different Schools.Throughout the symposium, facilitators – alongside participants – test out ways of doing together in an effort to make their practice-based research explicit, rather than simply describe it.<b>与唱机管弦乐团共创乐谱</b> 2025年4月7日 在两场互联并行的工作坊中，参与者得以创作声响与视觉两类乐谱，最终产出录音作品与视觉创作成果。由罗杰·克拉克（Roger Clarke）领衔的唱机管弦乐团，邀请参与者探索特制黑胶唱片上的声响元素，并将其结合以创作简短即兴作品。在由詹姆斯·斯科特·布鲁克斯（James Scott Brooks）主持的"共创乐谱"工作坊中，参与者借助配套物料，将上述即兴作品的音频录音转化为视觉乐谱。完成后的视觉乐谱随后将由参与者返回唱机管弦乐团环节进行测试，并借助这些视觉乐谱创作全新的录音作品。 <b><i>协作共创25</i></b> <i>协作共创</i>是一项一年一度、为期两日的创作与分享实践研讨会，举办地为洛克布鲁克校区，由巴斯艺术、电影与传媒学院艺术研究中心联合巴斯设计学院以及文化创意产业中心共同主办。 <i>协作共创</i>是一个通过创作、协作与实验，联结教职员工、学生与社区群体的交流平台。 本次研讨会中的工作坊均由全校范围内的教职员工与研究型研究生（PGR）主持，旨在分享基于实践的研究方法与多元实践路径。<i>协作共创</i>旨在打造一个开放包容的空间，供来自不同学院的同仁开展创作、实践、分享与研讨活动。 在整个研讨会期间，引导者与参与者将一同探索协作共创的可行路径，以期将自身基于实践的研究成果具象化，而非仅停留在口头描述层面。
