Effect of Gal-8 treatment on gene expression of human CD14+ monocytes

Galectin-8 is an identified ligand of LILRB4, which is an immune checkpoint receptor expressed on monocytic cells.Isolated human CD14+ cells from human PBMC were treated with or without Galectin-8 to test transcriptome alteration. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of 3 replicates from each group. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for Isolated human CD14+ cells with or without Galectin 8 treatment.

半乳糖凝集素8（Galectin-8）是已被鉴定的白细胞免疫球蛋白样受体B亚家族成员4（LILRB4）的配体，而该受体是一种表达于单核细胞的免疫检查点受体。研究人员从人外周血单个核细胞（PBMC）中分离得到人CD14阳性细胞（CD14+ cells），分别施加半乳糖凝集素8处理或不予处理，以检测其转录组变化。随后，研究人员针对每组3次生物学重复的RNA测序（RNA-seq）数据开展了基因表达谱分析。整体实验设计：对经半乳糖凝集素8处理与未处理的分离人CD14阳性细胞的RNA测序数据进行对比基因表达谱分析。
