3D figure showing the relationship between elevation, chemical similarity for the most aromatic, light-absorbing metabolites (upper-quartile nAtomP), and chemical similarity for the most polar metabolites (lower-quartile ALogP) for five species-rich genera: Inga (Fabaceae), Miconia (Melastomataceae), Myrcia (Myrtaceae), Ocotea and Nectandra (Lauraceae), and Pouteria (Sapotaceae). Each data point represents a tree species in a forest plot, with point size scaled by abundance. Hovering reveals the species, family, elevation, and trait data.
