Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, colony 07 Echinopora lamellosa, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集为法国海外领地马约特岛野外调查的成果。马约特地处西印度洋（Western Indian Ocean, WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部，为科摩罗群岛的组成部分。本次调查共覆盖5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统，分别为国际机场礁、布兰岛礁、快乐罗杰礁、恩古贾礁与惊喜礁，涵盖岸礁（fringing reef，F）与内部斑礁（inner patch reefs，IPR）两类，采样水深介于2至8米之间，所有采样工作均在2021年10月至2025年9月间开展的10次野外考察中完成。
