A collection of 598 harvested branches scanned in high resolution using terrestrial LiDAR. Branches were collected from GEM forest plots in Malaysia, Australia and Brazil. Branch nomenclature is PLOT-TREE-BN where PLOT codes can be found in the manuscript, N refers to the sample number of branch harvested from a tree, and S and SH refer to sun or shade branch respectivetly. For each branch there are 3 files:   Unfiltered point clouds (raw_pc) are clipped from the original data only and have had no post processing applied Filtered point clouds (filtered_pc) have been filtered according to the steps in the manuscript QSMs were produced using treegraph (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5226212) Polygon File Format (.ply) files can be viewed in software such as CloudCompare. 本数据集包含598根经地面激光雷达(terrestrial LiDAR)高精度扫描获取的枝条样本。所有枝条采集自马来西亚、澳大利亚与巴西的GEM森林样地。 枝条采用PLOT-TREE-BN的命名格式:其中PLOT代码可参阅相关论文手稿;N代表单棵树木上采集的枝条样本序号;S与SH分别对应向阳枝条与背阴枝条。 每根枝条对应3类文件: 1. 未过滤点云(raw_pc):仅从原始数据中裁剪得到,未经过任何后处理操作; 2. 过滤后点云(filtered_pc):已按照论文手稿中的步骤完成滤波处理; 3. 定量结构模型(Quantitative Structure Models,QSMs):通过treegraph工具生成(https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5226212)。 多边形文件格式(.ply)文件可通过CloudCompare等软件查看。 完整的实验方法细节可参见下述文献: Wilkes, P., Shenkin, A., Disney, M., Malhi, Y., Bentley, L.
