Gene Expression Analysis Towards Coconut Genotyping and Varietal Improvement

This project involves comparative transcriptomics analysis of different coconut varieties to identify differentially expressed genes for economically advantageous traits. It aims to develop SSR markers for coconut breeders that will aid them in varietal improvement. This study also aims to develop reference transcriptomes for heirloom coconut varieties.

本项目针对不同椰子品种开展比较转录组学（comparative transcriptomics）分析，以挖掘与经济优异性状相关的差异表达基因（differentially expressed genes）。本项目旨在为椰子育种从业者开发简单序列重复（Simple Sequence Repeats, SSR）标记，辅助其开展品种改良工作。此外，本研究还将为地方传承椰子品种构建参考转录组。
