Gastrointestinal microbiota and metabolites possibly contribute to CHIKV infection in rhesus monkeys

This study investigated the characteristics of fecal and gut microbiota, intestinal metabolites and the changes in gene regulation of intestinal tissues after CHIKV infection using multi-omics analysis to explore the involvement of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of CHIKV infection.

本研究采用多组学分析（multi-omics analysis）方法，对基孔肯雅病毒（CHIKV）感染后粪便与肠道菌群的特征、肠道代谢物变化，以及肠道组织的基因调控改变进行了探究，以探索肠道菌群在基孔肯雅病毒感染发病机制中的作用。
