Citrullus naudinianus, one ancient species of Citrullus genus, has abundant genetic diversity that could be a germplasm resource used for sweet watermelon improvement. We have sequenced its genome by HiFi, and completed the high-quality reference genome assembly and annotation, which provided a genome resource for modern watermelon breeding.

诺丹西瓜（Citrullus naudinianus）是西瓜属（Citrullus）的古老物种之一，其遗传多样性丰富，可作为甜西瓜品种改良的种质资源。本研究采用HiFi测序技术对其基因组进行测序，完成了高质量参考基因组的组装与注释，为现代西瓜育种提供了基因组学资源。
