Research results on the use of a new DES based on sodium cumene sulfonate in the microwave decomposition of lignocellulosic biomass used in the production of bioethanol.

The research results regarding the use of sodium cumenesulfonate as a solvent component in microwave decomposition of biomass include analysis of the composition and structure of lignocellulose after pretreatment, susceptibility to enzymatic hydrolysis and bioconversion to ethanol.
