European Parliamentary Elections 2014: Candidate Responses to YLE Candidate Selector

This dataset consists of responses to the voting advice application of the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) by Finnish candidates in the 2014 European Parliament election. The candidates' opinions were charted with 30 attitudinal statements which they evaluated on a likert scale. The statements concerned, for instance, attitude toward EU, workers immigrating from other EU countries, the influence of business life in the EU, illegal immigration, free movement, limitations and costs to businesses caused by the EU, and costs of EU membership. Background variables included name, party, age, occupation, education, employer, campaign budget, and the primary source of campaign funding.本数据集收录了2014年欧洲议会选举中芬兰候选人对芬兰广播公司（YLE）选举咨询应用程序的反馈问卷结果。研究人员设置30条态度陈述题，要求候选人基于李克特量表（Likert scale）对自身观点进行评分。这些陈述议题涵盖对欧盟的态度、来自其他欧盟成员国的务工移民、欧盟商业活动的影响力、非法移民、人员自由流动、欧盟给企业带来的限制与成本，以及欧盟成员国身份的相关成本。数据集附带的背景变量包括候选人姓名、所属党派、年龄、职业、教育背景、就职单位、竞选预算以及竞选资金的主要来源。
