The purpose of the dataset C. elegans muscle aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of muscles. Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 1 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集为秀丽隐杆线虫肌肉衰老（C. elegans muscle aging）数据集，其核心目标为基于肌肉图像推断线虫的年龄。研究团队采集了不同实龄的秀丽隐杆线虫肌肉图像，本图像即属于第1天数据集的一部分。需注意：即便个体为遗传同源个体，由于个体间存在表型差异，其形态学年龄与实龄仍无法完全匹配。该数据集的来源为遗传学实验室、美国国家衰老研究所（NIA）与美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）。
