We characterized transcriptomes of a Sinorhizobium meliloti rpoH1rpoH2 deletion mutant (RFF231; Lang et al. 2018, mSphere 3:e00454-18) expressing either Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus rpoH or Sinorhizobium meliloti rpoH1 Overall design: Gene expression profiling of Sinorhizobium meliloti strains was performed using custom Affymetrix GeneChips. Strain RFF231 (rpoH1rpoH2 deletion), carrying either Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus rpoH (locus tag = CLIBASIA_02490, codon optimized for expression in Sinorhizobium meliloti) or Sinorhizobium meliloti rpoH1 (locus tag = SMc00646) was compared to strain RFF231, carrying the empty vector, pSRKGm (Khan et al. 2008, Appl Environ Microbiol 74:5053-5062)
