This is replication data for the captioned experiments. It comprises supporting audio data and CAD data for 3D printing. A 3D-printed vortex-generating saxophone mouthpiece was previously developed for use with a synthetic reed. Further experiments were then conducted to vary the density of the mouthpiece, by altering wall thickness and infill; without changing the shape. These experimental mouthpieces were tested for playability, intonation and timbre. The heaviest and the lightest experimental mouthpieces were found unsatisfactory. A mouthpiece printed less dense than the original one (lighter overall, with thinner walls but more infill) was found highly suitable.
本数据集为标题所示实验的复现数据。其包含配套音频数据与3D打印所需的CAD数据。此前已针对合成哨片的适配场景,研发出一款3D打印的涡流发生型萨克斯吹嘴。后续通过调整壁厚与填充率(保持外形不变),开展了改变该吹嘴整体密度的补充实验。对这批实验吹嘴的演奏性能、音准与音色展开了测试。测试结果显示,密度最大与最小的两款实验吹嘴均未达到合格标准。一款密度低于原型的打印吹嘴(整体重量更轻、壁厚更薄但填充率更高)被证实具备极佳适配性。
