Metagenomic exploration of Surface waters from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.

The 16s rRNA gene amplicon and shotgun metagenomic sequencing was carried out to examine the taxonomic and functional diversity analysis of microbial communities in surface waters from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. The potential effects of Anthropogenic activities in coastal marine waters on microbial communities were also examined.

本研究通过16S rRNA基因扩增子测序（16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing）与鸟枪宏基因组测序（shotgun metagenomic sequencing），对印度安达曼-尼科巴群岛表层水体中的微生物群落进行分类学与功能多样性分析，同时探讨了沿岸海域人为活动对该微生物群落的潜在影响。
