List of sirenian fossils in Japan, reported in the previous literatures

The list shows fossil sirenian taxa reported from Japan with the ages, the localities and references. The list is based on Furusawa (2005, Kaseki) with some additions and corrections, and later fossil records are added. Additional fossils are from Nagasawa et al. (2003, Applied Geology of Yamagata; 2008, The 115th Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of Japan), Kohno et al. (2007, Kaseki), Research Group for Fossil Sirenia from Myoken (2008, Bulletin of Nagaoka Municipal Science Museum), Yonaga et al. (2018, Bulletin of the Omachi Alpine Museum) and Mori et al. (2022, Abstracts with Programs of the 171th Regular Meeting of the Palaeontological Society of Japan).

本清单展示了自日本报道的史前鲸类化石物种，并详细列出了其年代、出土地点及参考文献。该清单以藤沢（2005年，《古生物志》）为基础，并进行了若干补充与修正，同时加入了后续的化石记录。新增化石资料来源于长澤等（2003年，《山形县应用地质学》；2008年，《日本地质学会第115届年会》），小野等（2007年，《古生物志》），由吾北化石鲸类研究小组（2008年，《长冈市立科学博物馆通讯》），米良等（2018年，《奥马奇阿尔卑斯博物馆通讯》），以及森等（2022年，《日本古生物学协会第171届常规会议摘要》）的研究成果。
