The obligate and biotrophic pathogen of Rhizaria Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin (P. brassicae) is a worldwide soil-borne disease. We assembled a high-quality genome sequence of the P. brassicae race 4 strain (Pb.4) by Nanopore sequencing. The P. brassicae race 4 was collected from the galled roots of Chinese cabbage in Hubei province of China.

芸苔根肿菌（Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin，简称P. brassicae）属于根生物类群（Rhizaria），是专性活体营养型病原菌，其所引发的病害为全球性土传病害。本研究通过纳米孔测序（Nanopore sequencing）技术，组装得到芸苔根肿菌4号生理小种菌株（Pb.4）的高质量基因组序列。该4号生理小种采集自中国湖北省大白菜的瘤根组织。
