Gut microbiome of Panthera (P. pardus, P. tigris, P. leo)

The gut metagenomic composition of Panthera species of Indian origin was characterized by sequencing of the metagenome on Illumina NextSeq 500 platform. For bacteria, V3 hypervariable region of 16S rRNA gene was amplified and sequenced. For fungi, ITS-1 region was amplified and sequenced. The complete bacterial and viral metagenomic DNA was also sequenced.

本研究通过Illumina NextSeq 500测序平台对宏基因组进行测序，解析了印度来源豹属（Panthera）物种的肠道宏基因组组成。针对细菌，研究人员对16S核糖体RNA（16S rRNA）基因的V3高变区进行扩增并测序；针对真菌，则对ITS-1区域开展扩增与测序工作。此外，本研究还对完整的细菌与病毒宏基因组DNA进行了测序。
