<p>The files contain community data from metagenomic sequencing of soil samples collected from 30 commercial carrot fields in the Holland Marsh, Ontario. Sampling was conducted during the first week of June each year from 2021 to 2023. All fields were located within a 20 km radius, featured muck soil with 35–80% organic matter, and followed an onion-carrot crop rotation with similar agronomic practices.</p> <p>Also included is the Disease Severity Index (DSI) for the carrot fields, categorized as low or high risk. Disease assessments were conducted at harvest (early October) for all fields involved in the study.</p> <p>The data files contain microbial abundance information for various communities, including bacteria, fungi, and oomycetes, along with their corresponding taxonomy files. Metadata files for each community are also included.
