Reconnecting Government with Youth 2001

Reconnecting Government With Youth examines the connection between young people in Canada and the federal government. The study examines youth expectations of government and what roles they feel it could or should play. Attachments to country, views on the economy, work, culture, internet usage, and media consumption are considered. 2,000 Canadians from across the country, aged 12-30, participated in the 2001 survey. Those under the age of 18 were sourced through their parents, who are panelists in the Ipsos Consumer Panel. Accompanying this dataset are questionnaire documentation, comprehensive statistics from the data, as well as reports and presentations to the Federal Department of Canadian Heritage, the Federal Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, and the Canada Information Office.
