Quantification of DOSS in Marine Sediment and Sediment-Trap Solids by LC-QTOF MS, Northern Gulf of Mexico, 2010-2015

A validated method for the extraction and quantification of DOSS in solid materials undergoing sedimentation (“sediment trap solids”) and seafloor sediment collected in the Gulf is presented. The application of the LC-QTOF methodology to marine sediment and sediment-trap solids gave DOSS concentrations of 0.74-22 μg kg-1 for sediments collected between 2010 and 2015 and 1.5-6.3 μg kg-1 for sediment-trap solids collected in 2010.

本研究报道了一种经方法学验证的提取与定量方法，可用于测定两类样品中的二辛基磺基琥珀酸钠（DOSS）：一类为发生沉降过程的固体物质（即沉积物捕获器固体样品，sediment trap solids），另一类为墨西哥湾采集的海底沉积物。采用液相色谱-四极杆飞行时间质谱（LC-QTOF）方法对海洋沉积物及沉积物捕获器固体样品进行分析，结果显示：2010至2015年采集的海底沉积物中DOSS浓度范围为0.74~22 μg·kg⁻¹，2010年采集的沉积物捕获器固体样品中DOSS浓度范围为1.5~6.3 μg·kg⁻¹。
