SHELF - Shortages of Psychotropics: Evidence from Lists in Italy. Reproducibility package

Reproducibility package for SHELF (Shortages of Psychotropics: Evidence from Lists in Italy), a descriptive study of the lists of temporarily unavailable medicines published by the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA): 654 weekly snapshots from 9 January 2018 to 30 December 2025, 11,825 distinct AIC codes. The study describes the duration, causes and recurrence of shortages of psychotropic medicines. The study protocol and statistical analysis plan (v1.0) were registered at https://osf.io/wn5ka/ on 22 October 2026, before any outcome was calculated. Both documents are included as registered. All departures from the registered text, implementation choices and post hoc analyses are listed with dates in docs/DEVIATIONS.md. Contents: R scripts 01-09 (import, classification, episodes, outcomes E1-E8, sensitivity analyses S1-S11, final tables); the registered protocol and analysis plan; the log of deviations; SHA-256 checksums of the raw archives and of every file; package versions and the renv lockfile; derived R objects (classified snapshots, AIC table, episodes, segments); all output tables and logs, including the manual validation of 50 AIC codes; the code and PNG/PDF files of Figures 1-4. Scripts 04-09 can be re-run from the derived objects without the raw archives; scripts 01-03 re-create them from the raw archives. See README.md for instructions.
