The electrified water and space heating profile - variable compressor (EWASP-VC) is a new version of the original EWASP model, which gives the user the freedom to switch between the orignally provided fixed speed compressor ASHP model, and a modern variable speed model. The variable ASHP model uses a conventional rule based flow temperature vs building heat demand control algorithm (to represent typical the control algorithms readily available to consumers at present). This version of EWASP is not intended for GSHP simulations - it was developed to generate the demand data required to analyse mass residential ASHP rollout strategies, which are currently of great intrest in the UK. However, if it transpires that there is significant interest in variable speed GSHP modelling, I will update the model to include this. The Entire MATLAB directory required to run the EWASP-VC model and instructions for use are included in this dataset.
