A genome-wide methylation study on essential hypertension in young African American Males

We performed a genome wide methylation scan using the Illumina HumanMethylation27 BeadChip on DNAs extracted from the leukocytes of 8 hypertensive cases and 8 normotensive age-matched controls. All subjects were African American males aged 14-23 years. Bisulphite converted DNA from the 16 samples were hybridised to the Illumina Infinium 27k Human Methylation Beadchip v1.2

本研究采用Illumina HumanMethylation27微珠芯片（Illumina HumanMethylation27 BeadChip），对从8例高血压病例与8例年龄匹配的正常血压对照者的白细胞中提取的脱氧核糖核酸（DNA）开展全基因组甲基化扫描（genome wide methylation scan）。所有研究对象均为14至23岁的非裔美国男性。本研究将16份样本经亚硫酸氢盐转化得到的脱氧核糖核酸，与Illumina Infinium 27k人类甲基化微珠芯片v1.2（Illumina Infinium 27k Human Methylation Beadchip v1.2）进行杂交。
