This dataset uses the CESM2 large ensemble (Rodgers et al. 2021, Danabasoglu et al. 2020) to detect Antarctic atmospheric rivers (ARs) in the present-day and 21st century. The catalog is based on the polar-specific AR detection tool developed by Wille et al. (2021), which uses the 98th percentile of poleward integrated water vapor transport and a 20-degree latitudinal extent as the threshold for ARs. Here each file corresponds to one of forty ensemble members from the CESM2 large ensemble, all under the smoothed biomass burning protocol. This dataset consists of the future catalogs for Antarctic ARs (2015-2100) with scaling for moisture according to the ensemble mean relative increase in integrated water vapor, meaning detection is based on the product of the present-day 98th percentile of poleward integrated water vapor transport and the future relative increase in atmospheric moisture. Data are stored as three-dimensional arrays with time, latitude, and longitude coordinates, and a binary indicator for the presence of an AR at a given time and location.
