Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1961, omnibus nos. 42-44

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1961 consists of 41 omnibus surveys conducted by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1961. The surveys are numbered from 01 to 48, but omnibus nos. 03 and 41 were not present in the material received from the Roper Center. Bus nos. 13-16 are omitted from the year, as they contained neither topical questions nor information about party preference. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of the year, plus a number of questions dealing with current topics. In this year, the topical questions were repeated in up to four omnibuses. The present data material comprises the demographic variables and topical questions in omnibus numbers 42 to 44. # #The demographic variables are: sex, age, occupational status of head of family, income of head of family, social group, composition of household, size of household, urbanization, party preference. income of family (bus 35-48), supporter's age (bus 35-48), education (bus 42-48), number of children in household (bus 42-48), respondent's occupation (bus 45-48) and type of home (21-24). Those demographic variables that are not present in this group of omnibuses are coded as missing data. # #The topical questions in this group of omnibuses are: # #Consumption taxes; best and worst subject at school; should nouns begin with small or capital letters; the Russian nuclear tests, and the relative strengths of the Great Powers; and homosexual school teachers

本数据集包含的人口统计学变量如下：性别、年龄、户主职业状况、户主收入、社会阶层、家庭结构、家庭规模、城市化水平、政党偏好。补充变量包括：家庭收入（仅编号35-48的综合调查）、支持者年龄（仅编号35-48的综合调查）、受教育程度（仅编号42-48的综合调查）、家庭子女数（仅编号42-48的综合调查）、受访者职业（仅编号45-48的综合调查）以及住宅类型（仅编号21-24的综合调查）。未在本批次综合调查中收录的人口统计学变量将被编码为缺失值。

本批次综合调查涵盖的时事议题问题包括：消费税、在校最优与最差学科、名词应使用小写还是大写首字母、俄罗斯核试验及大国相对实力、同性恋学校教师相关话题。
