Lactobacillus plantarum Zhang LL inhibits colitis related tumorigenesis

In this study, we constructed a mouse model of CRC using an intraperitoneal injection of azomethane combined with dextran sodium sulfate, while administering 5 fluorouracil as well as high and low doses of L. plantarum Zhang LL live or heat killed strains. To investigate the specific mechanisms involved in alleviating CRC progression, high-throughput sequencing technology was used to analyze the gut microbiota, nontargeted metabolomics of intestinal contents, and eukaryotic transcriptomics of intestinal tissues.

本研究通过腹腔注射偶氮甲烷（azomethane）联合葡聚糖硫酸钠（dextran sodium sulfate）的方式构建结直肠癌（Colorectal Cancer, CRC）小鼠模型，同时给予5-氟尿嘧啶（5-fluorouracil）以及高、低剂量的植物乳杆菌Zhang LL活菌或热灭活菌株。为探究缓解结直肠癌进展的具体作用机制，本研究采用高通量测序技术（high-throughput sequencing technology）对肠道菌群、肠道内容物非靶向代谢组以及肠道组织真核转录组展开分析。
