Aging-related alterations of murine intestinal microbiota

Aging is a progressive decline of cellular functions that ultimately affects whole-body homeostasis. Alterations in the gut microbiota associated with aging have been reported, however, the molecular basis of the relationships between host aging and gut microbiota remains obscure. By using longitudinal microbiome and metabolome characterization, we will show that the aging-related alterations in the intestinal environment.
