Osteomyelitis caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus having TSST-1 genes

We performed genetic analysis of community-associated MRSA that caused severe osteomyelitis in healthy individuals. This strain is SCCmec type IV and have TSST-1 gene, and is a pathogen that is feared for future epidemics.

本研究对引发健康个体重症骨髓炎的社区获得性耐甲氧西林金黄色葡萄球菌（community-associated MRSA）开展了遗传学分析。该菌株属于SCCmec IV型（SCCmec type IV），携带中毒性休克综合征毒素1（TSST-1）基因，是一种值得警惕未来可能引发流行的病原菌。
